Joss won Academy Award for writing Toy Story, before 7(?) seasons of Buffy, the best show of its kind in TV history.

Whedon is deeply overrated as a writer. People need to stop being sheep and form their opinions independently of awards or ratings.
I think the best quote about Joss Whedon has been from Ben (Yahtzee) Croshaw of ZeroPunctuation fame. It was something along the lines of… “Think of a line of dialogue by Joss Whedon, any line of dialogue. A typical witty quip that a Joss Whedon character might say. Now apply that to a Joss Whedon character, any character. Notice how it sounds like something any of his characters would say. That’s because he has no sense of character development. Whedon’s particular style of writing has become trendy, that’s all.’
