I’m a regular person who’s good at explaining things one-on-one, but whenever I try to tell a story to a group, people seem to lose interest halfway through. I either ramble, give too many details, or forget the point I was trying to make. How do people with strong storytelling skills decide what to keep, what to cut, and how to structure a story so it actually holds attention without sounding rehearsed?

Storytelling skills matter more than people admit. This article explains why without pushing trends. It shows how stories help ideas stick. Especially in design and UX work. Good storytelling helps teams understand users better. It also helps explain decisions to others. I liked that it focused on structure, not hype. Clear problem, clear context, clear outcome. The examples felt grounded. Nothing felt forced. It made me rethink how I present work. The pacing of the article is good and easy to read.
