5/15/2009Tabula rasa (Latin: blank slate) refers to the theory that individuals are born without built-in / genetic mental content and that their knowledge comes entirely from experience and sensory perception. Proponents of the tabula rasa thesis favor the “nurture” side of the nature versus nurture debate.
